LEICESTER’S Championship Grand Final trip to Poole on Friday has been postponed.
The weather forecast for Wimborne Road indicates constant rain throughout the day and there is no prospect of the meeting going ahead.
This means Saturday’s fixture at the Paul Chapman & Sons Arena (7pm) now becomes the first leg of the Grand Final.
The return will now take place at Poole on Wednesday October 26.
A re-arranged date for the Jubilee League Final leg in Dorset will be confirmed in due course. That competition now features just the Lions and the Pirates after Glasgow, the Scottish group winners, announced their withdrawal.
